Expand Access to HIV Prevention Services with RxEACH
RxEACH is a national coalition working to expand and sustain access to HIV prevention and linkage-to-care services in community pharmacies, especially in rural areas, medically underserved areas, and communities with a shortage of health professionals.
Join us in our mission to broaden and sustain access to HIV prevention and linkage to care services through community pharmacies nationwide.
Opportunity
The United States faces significant challenges in achieving the goal of ending the HIV epidemic — challenges that require new thinking and a retooling of existing resources. Too many Americans still face real barriers to HIV prevention: the cost of care, the distance to the nearest prescriber, limited clinic hours, and stigma around seeking services. Persistent gaps remain in access to HIV prevention, including pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP), post-exposure prophylaxis (PEP), and their associated testing.
PrEP and PEP are effective tools in preventing new HIV infections, and many people continue to face barriers in accessing these critical resources. Community pharmacies can play a crucial role in expanding PrEP and PEP access by boosting availability, empowering patient choice, and streamlining linkage to care.
